Zamenhof Beach in Cannes
Category : Cannes
Enjoying the beach in Cannes does not necessarily mean booking a private beach or planning a large budget.
Located on the Croisette, right next to the beach of the Hotel Martinez, the municipal Zamenhof Beach offers a simple and affordable option for spending a few hours by the sea. Sun loungers, parasols, showers, toilets and a supervised swimming area are available.
It is a good choice for travellers looking for a well-located, comfortable beach that is easy to reach from the city centre.
1. A municipal beach in the heart of the Croisette
Zamenhof Beach is located on Boulevard de la Croisette, opposite kiosk number 6.
Its location allows visitors to enjoy the seafront while staying close to hotels, restaurants and shops. It works just as well for a quiet morning as for a full day at the beach.
The atmosphere remains simple. People mainly come to swim, read, relax and enjoy the view without necessarily choosing a more high-end option.
2. Affordable rates
The beach is open from mid-June to mid-September, from 8:30 am to 6:30 pm.
It is possible to book for half a day or a full day.
A sun lounger costs €6.50 for half a day and €9 for the full day.
A parasol costs €4.50 for half a day and €8 for the full day.
Children under 10 can access the beach free of charge without a sun lounger.
These rates make it possible to enjoy a little more comfort without reaching the prices of the private beaches on the Croisette.
3. Practical services for the day
The beach has a supervised swimming area, with lifeguards equipped with first-aid equipment.
There are also showers, toilets, changing cabins and accessibility facilities. Spaces are available for people with reduced mobility, depending on availability.
Soft drinks, sandwiches and other food products are allowed. It is therefore possible to bring a simple lunch or a few snacks.
Just remember to bring a towel, as it is required on the sun loungers.
4. An easy outing from Hotel Alnéa
Located in the very centre of Cannes, Hotel Alnéa makes it easy to reach the Croisette on foot. Zamenhof Beach is further along the promenade, in the direction of the Martinez.
The hotel is around 100 metres from the Croisette and a two-minute walk from Cannes train station. It is therefore easy to plan a beach day without a car, then return to the centre for dinner or a rest. (Alnéa)
It is also a pleasant way to discover a quieter part of the Croisette while remaining close to the lively atmosphere of Cannes.
5. What to bring
To enjoy Zamenhof Beach, bring a towel, water, sun protection and, if needed, something for lunch.
Online booking can be useful during the busiest periods, especially if you would like a sun lounger for the full day.
Dogs are not allowed on the beach. In the event of bad weather, bookings are not refundable.
A simple and affordable beach on the Croisette
Zamenhof Beach is a good alternative for enjoying the sea in Cannes without choosing a private beach.
Its location, rates and facilities make it a practical option for half a day or a full day. From the centre of Cannes, it remains easy to reach and fits perfectly into a stay combining the beach, a walk and a visit to the Croisette.
